A contact lens exam is more in-depth than a routine eye exam. Our optometrists require a few additional tests to determine your overall visual health and learn more about your vision needs. These extra details help us decide which type of contact lenses best fit your eyes and lifestyle.

The Contact Lens Fitting & Trial

Your contact lens fitting helps us find the perfect lens for your vision, and it will consist of several measurements to ensure the best fit for your eye shape. Comfort is the most critical factor when choosing the perfect lens.

Once our optometrists have determined the best pair of lenses for you, you’ll be sent home with a trial pair.

You may not fall in love with the first pair of lenses you try, and that’s okay! The main objective is happy, healthy eyes, and it can take a couple of tries to get it exactly right.

Care & Handling of Contact Lenses

Your optometrist will provide clear instructions on the care and handling of your new lenses. We recommend following these directions carefully to ensure the transition goes smoothly.

The lifespan of your contacts will significantly increase with proper care, and please remember to clean and disinfect your lenses before using them!
